Evening Prayer

It's Evening, Jesus
Today we lit a candle signifying your coming.
And today we remembered our brothers in Cuba and China
who must hide their light.
Today we joined Christians all over the world
in celebrating your life.

As I sleep, tonight, Lord Jesus
May your light speak to me, even in dreams.
May your desire that I be closer and closer to you
find me receptive in sleep
to the kisses of angels.
