Ah!

Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a lonely place, where he prayed. 36Simon and his companions went to look for him, 37and when they found him, they exclaimed: "Everyone is looking for you!" (Mark 1)

It's Morning, Jesus
Now I know, all over again, why you went away. Why you got up early, and found a solitary place, to be alone with the Father.


Grant it, Father, that even though others do not understand, or despise, or question why...grant me the courage and discipline of withdrawing to be with you.

Impart to me your life, Lord Jesus, not someone elses.
Let me live to the favor of your face, not someone elses face.

Draw me close
