I Have Seen Heaven

I have seen heaven
When earth and sky and sea and sun
All agreed to your
promises and all fell
Into alignment with your plan.
I have seen glory
Which rests alone in you
And proclaims your majesty
A majesty that exists apart from me and my wants.
I, the creature,
Have seen the fierce and gentle beauty of the creator
And His creation.
Give me, God,
The humility to pronounce your Glory
Over all the earth.
