Tuesday

Minneapolis Mountain

It's Morning, Jesus

1 How good and pleasant it is
when brothers live together in unity!
2 It is like precious oil poured on the head,
running down on the beard,
running down on Aaron's beard,
down upon the collar of his robes.

3 It is as if the dew of Hermon
were falling on Mount Zion.
For there the LORD bestows his blessing,
even life forevermore.Psalm 133

Be lifted up, Almighty Saviour
Be exalted, O' truth of God
Your word is ever true:
The oil ran down!
The precious oil of laughter,
The iron strong grip of grace
Spilled like Starbucks coffee on our shirts
And stained our breath with the robust beans of coffee
And bestowed the blessing of caffeine and confidence on our faces.
You raised up a mountain on the plains of Minnesota
We sang to you on that mountain of brotherhood
We prayed to you in the coliseum of our own time
We heard the public reading of your word
And we stood in the arena of 3,000 to cry our Amens!
There you, O' Lord,
Bestowed your blessing.

Thank you, God
for the watchcare over our souls
Thank you, God
for the truth of your Word
Do bless the men and the women and the children
Still standing, singing, and sighing
in the plains of Minnesota
May the land of lakes
Hold holy waters by which they plant themselves
and their children
May they be
like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither.
Whatever he does prospers.

Amen
