Evening Pause

It's Evening,Jesus
How did I live today?
Did I live authentically in the truth for which you made me?
Did I bear witness to your call on my life?
Did I act like a child of God?
Did I think like a man in line with the inheritance of the Saints?
Did I remember I am an alien in this land?
Did I serve as a true ambassador of another place?
Did I?
Examine my day, three-personed God.
Examine it with me.
Hold me accountable.
With the insight I learn tonight
in reflection or in dreams
I will do better tomorrow, and the next day, and the next.
I will.
