It's Morning, Jesus
All things are under your feet.
There you are, seated at the right hand of God the Father
Shepherding the world
I thank you for the life itself
Especially for the journey with children
I thank you for the sacred trust of shaping lives
from the nest of a home
I thank you for your very personal presence
to watch over your word to perform it
Praise be your name
Glory to you in your omnipresence
Right now, wherever our children are
You go before them
To prepare, promote, protect, provide
Give them, Lord Jesus
A touch of your glory today
May the long weekend be a time when parents and families
get together all over this nation
May joy be theirs
May re-creation in leisure and rest be their experience
May they celebrate in festivity
the beauty of your mercy
the enchantment and riches of life itself
in your name.
