I'm in prison, Jesus
But you are here with me
I'm all bound up, all locked up
Facing the darkness of all my former deeds
Help me sort it out, Jesus
Help me think it through
Be my guide inside these prison walls
But don't let me wade into the quick sand of my mirky soul
Make me new
Help me take hold of the rope of forgiveness
Help me hold on to the truth
I am in the prison pit
In the mud and the mire
Lift me up, Lord Jesus
and set my feet upon a rock.
