And having disarmed the powers and authorities,

he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.

Nailed down

You expose man's weakness

Lifted up

You draw our eyes to the spectacle

of ourselves

Crucified naked

You show us the frailty of our bones

and

Your loose jaw

Cradles our cry

"My God, My God, how and why?

and what?"
